It's a fast casual restaurant where you order at the counter and it took about 5-10 minutes for them to bring out my tacos. I loved the track taco - the mango slaw on top is delicious. The red snapper taco was also really good The fish was fresh I like that you can also buy raw fish from them to prepare yourself. They have tables outside as well for seating

The best seafood in San Diego hands down. The fish is caught fresh daily, and you can choose how you want it prepared (e.g., salad, sandwich, grilled, seared, etc.). The line is always out the door, but it moves pretty quickly and the food comes out quick as well. This time, I got half a dozen of oysters (5/5, extremely fresh) and the jalapeño lime mussels which was a daily special (4/5, mussels were very fresh but i wish that it came with the sourdough bread instead). Overall, if you're ever in Downtown, this spot is great for seafood lovers.

Blue Water is heavenly!!! It is located on India St near downtown San Diego next to other cool places like Rubicon Deli & the British Pub. Parking can be tricky, but we got lucky today. The line may seem overwhelming at first, but it flies by fast and is worth the wait. Inside there is a small market, lots of seating and a cashier where you order. We ordered the fried calamari, the shrimp nachos & two tacos. All the seafood seems to be cooked nicely and paired well with the food. The fried calamari was breaded nicely and the sauces were yummy. I'm not a fan of horseradish but something about that sauce paired well with the calamari. The nachos were to dieee for! The chips are house made and crispy topped with melted cheese, tomatoes, onions, cilantro & grilled shrimp. I eyed someone else's plate and immediately ordered it. The tacos are always good,. They're award winning - and it makes sense. Definitely somewhere I'll keep going to and bringing friends and family to.

Street parking. Most seats were outside w shade. Salmon, albacore and tuna appetizers (sashimi) and poke w wonton chips were good. House made tomato based broth w fish (leftover from day before) and vegetables was hearty and a bit spicy which took me by surprise. Fish and Chips (1/2 size for kids)- 2 pieces of fried cod, waffle fries, and Cole slaw was a great deal.

Finally got the chance to come here! I've been craving a good ahi tuna sandwhich and this place did not disappoint! I order the wasabi crusted sesame seed crusted ahi tuna sandwich, onions rings, clam chowder , a dozen oysters & sautéed mussels and clams. Everything was delicious! I would order everything again except for the oysters, they weren't the best. I came on a Friday afternoon , plenty of street parking available and tables indoor and outdoor,

Blue Water is a gem my boss introduced me to, and I've been hooked ever since. Their beer-battered scallops tacos are to die for--perfectly cooked, buttery soft scallops bursting with flavor. The cabbage and cheese on the taco, combined with the perfect salsa, make it a fulfilling meal. Pair it with their fresh, delicious fries and onion rings, and you'll be stuffed! The lemon garlic butter sauce is amazing if you ever want to just order scallops and have them cook it for you; I've never had scallops cooked so perfectly. My boss swears by the shrimp, either lemon garlic butter or blackened, though I can't try it due to a shellfish allergy--it always looks incredible. Parking can be a challenge on India Street, so we aim for off-peak hours, but it's always busy. The service, however, has room for improvement. The waitstaff and cashiers were rude and argumentative both times I visited, which was disappointing. Despite this, the food quality keeps me coming back. If you can overlook the service, the food at Blue Water is absolutely worth it!

This has been my wife and I'd go to place every time we come down to San Diego. First times we came we were surprised how hidden a location this was. This is one of those spots you HAVE to go to when you are in San Diego. We make our first meat and going home Blue water every visit now. I have a habit of taking raw fish in a portable refrigerator whenever I go down there. Food here is a new level of phenomenal. If you see a like, don't leave get in it ASAP you know use what you would be missing if you left. Fish and Chips - Fluffy batter with great waffle fries Cioppino how so much fish and shell fish along with the best buttery seafood tomato based soup you will never find a better one ever Clam chowder here is so insanely good. The bread bowl version comes with the lid toasted with garlic butter Too much to talk about it you really need to get it to believe it. The staff here is amazing, from the past to present a big shout out to cashiers Brynn, Sophia, and Brianna. Runners that keep us refilled and checks on us constantly Monica, Sarah, and Amber. And the fish market peeps from David to Sean. This staff is part of the experience and we love it. We will back again soon. I'm already craving it again. Highly recommend this as an essential hot spot of your trip!

Parking: Free Street and metered are both available but limited, even though we arrived before opening. Ordering: You can grab a menu while standing in line. The line moves very slowly, and you order at the window. Ambiance: There was indoor, outdoor, and garden (hybrid of both). We chose indoors because there was the occasional fly buzzing around outside. FOOD: - Clam chowder bowl ($9.75): Creamy, hearty, nice level of saltiness. Definitely would recommend ordering this. -Calamari ($15): Panko is very browned, and the squid seems to have been overcooked with more chewiness than tenderness. I would not order this (if this is the way they cook it every time) -Panko crusted fish with waffle fries ($20): Coleslaw is nicely creamy with a hint of sweetness. The fish is fairly tender and moist for a piece of white fish. I love waffle fries so that was a treat. It was a good portion size for the price, but did not taste particularly special. - Track Taco ($8.75): The tortilla was toasted but tasted stale/chewy. The filling was quite generous and tasty, but the overall dish was ruined by the weird tortilla. I may recommend this taco (it is supposedly award-winning) but do warn you about the texture of the tortilla
